About Will
With over 15 years of experience guiding individuals, couples, and organizations through change and challenge, Will brings a rare blend of clinical expertise, coaching insight, and training consultation experience to his work as a therapist.
Will holds a master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Georgia State University and is both a Nationally Board-Certified Counselor and a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia. His background includes deep clinical experience with mental health, substance use, and couples therapy, as well as a strong foundation in counseling approaches such as Internal Family Systems, EMDR, Emotion-Focused Therapy, and Gottman-Method.
Clients describe Will as insightful, grounded, and refreshingly real. Whether he's working with clients one-on-one, as a couple, or in a group workshop setting, he brings clarity, compassion, humor and just the right amount of challenge to help people grow.
In addition to his therapy practice, Will is a sought-after speaker and training consultant. His interactive workshops and engaging talks help simplify complex topics—like mental health, addiction, and effective communication skills—making them accessible, relevant, and immediately actionable.
If you're looking for a therapist who gets it—who knows how to balance professionalism with genuine connection—you’re in the right place. Will works with adults no matter where they are on their journey toward change, whether that means just trying to figure out the next right step in work or life, navigating mental health or substance use challenges, building resilience, breaking old patterns, or simply getting back to feeling like themselves again.
Outside of work, Will loves spending time with his wife and their “fur babies” Glenn, Vinny, Merri, and Goose. A nerd at heart, he can usually be found reading, playing video games, or binging the latest show. He also enjoys training and competing in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, spending time with his “tribe” at SBG Athens, and is a lifelong supporter of the Georgia Bulldogs.

Individual Counseling
Many of us grew up believing in "happily ever after," only to discover that romantic relationships can be challenging and unpredictable. The truth is, achieving relationship success requires hard work and effort.
I love helping couples of all types and orientations build relationships where the dream of “happily ever after” becomes their reality. With specialized, advanced training in both the Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), I help couples navigate a range of challenges, from pre-marital counseling and conflict resolution to healing after infidelity and managing life transitions.
I also provide Couples Therapy Intensives - sometimes referred to as “marathon couples therapy” - for couples in significant distress or whose schedules don’t allow for regular therapy appointments. You can find out more about HERE.

While I do accept most major insurances, please be aware that choosing to utilize your insurance does come with some risk. Primarily, it means that you will need to meet “medical necessity” for services and be given a mental health diagnosis. This may also mean when you go to get life insurance or apply for a job that requests your medical records as part of the background check process, they may use your diagnosis as a way to say, “this person needs to have higher premiums because of their potential emotional state,” or “we don’t trust this person to manage (blank) task because they have xxx diagnosis.”
If you do choose to utilize insurance, I use a company named Headway to manage my billing and admin work so I can place all my focus on our work together. Headway manages everything related to payments and insurance to make things as easy as possible .
Before your first appointment, the Headway team will reach out via email to help you set up your account and add your insurance and payment details. You’ll see your cost/session ahead of time and can check your benefits at any time.
If you decide not to use insurance, my rate per individual counseling session is $150 per 50-minute session and $200 for relationship therapy.
Please keep in mind that insurance may not cover “coaching” services as insurance benefits require a valid mental health diagnose that is the focus of treatment.

Therapy varies depending on the personalities of the counselor and client, as well as the particular concerns brought forward. Sometimes the chemistry between the counselor and client or the counselor’s style or approach just isn’t a good fit. The relationship between the client and the therapist is of utmost importance. Therefore, I work to create a safe environment where open and honest communication is encouraged so that concerns or questions about treatment or the relationship can be addressed in session. This often benefits the therapeutic process and deepens the therapeutic relationship.

During therapy you will begin to discuss and share your feelings, thoughts, and reactions in order for you to begin to gain insight, develop new thinking patters, coping skills and overall improved quality of life. It is natural to feel uncomfortable about opening up at first but this process because much easier after a few sessions. Since self-growth is possible through commitment and work I will encourage you to practice the things you discuss and learn outside of session.

The number of sessions needed is different for everyone depending on a number of factors including but not limited to your goals, severity or intensity of your concerns or symptoms, how long you’ve been dealing with your concerns, current levels of stress, and the progress you make towards reaching your short or long-term goals.

When there is a reasonable suspicion of child/dependent abuse or of an elder adult.
When the client communicates a threat of bodily injury to others.
When the client is suicidal.
When disclosure is required pursuant to a legal proceeding
Providing you a safe and comfortable space to relax and be yourself
