Since the beginning of online dating back in 1994, more and more couples are meeting online. In fact, three in ten U.S. adults say they have used a dating site or app, with one in ten partnered adults – meaning those who are married, living with a partner, or in a committed romantic relationship – stating that they met their current significant other through a dating site or app.

However, even with these statistics continuing to rise around online dating, many also report struggling to find or maintain a secure relationship with a partner. Why is this?

REALationships: The Science of Love and Dating in a Digital World is a specially designed workshop that introduces the concepts and skills around successful online dating and how to create a strong, secure connection with a partner in the dating world. This workshop combines the research of leaders in the field, including John Gottman, Sue Johnson, and Logan Ury.

FAQ’s

  • We have both in-person and virtual options for attending. You can see our schedule of upcoming workshops HERE

  • No. All of the exercises are completed privately. During the group discussions, you can share as much or as little as you desire.

  • Since the workshop involves activities designed to be done with your partner, it is important that both partners attend and participate.

  • We typically accept 4-10 couples for each workshop.

  • There are no prerequisites for you to attend. The workshop is self-contained and is appropriate even if you’ve never heard of Drs. John and Julie Gottman’s work.

    At the same time, some couples do choose to read Dr. Gottman’s The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work ahead of time. You can also complete The Gottman Relationship Check-up if you wish to receive an individualized assessment of your relationship strengths and needs prior to attending.

  • No, this is an educational class ONLY and is not a replacement for relationship therapy. You will learn and practice skills but will not be talking about private moments in your life.
